The Boston Society of Film Critics have given Boyhood the top prize at their annual awards today. The film is carving a path through this critics season that doesn’t look to be slowing down at all. Previously they’ve bestowed Best Picture wins on 12 Years a Slave (2013), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), The Artist (2011) and The Social Network (2010).

Boyhood also managed wins in Director, Ensemble and Film Editing while Birdman was the Best Picture runner-up and took wins in Best Actor, Supporting Actress and Cinematography. The two films tied for Best Screenplay. Marion Cotillard continued to wreak havoc on the Best Actress race by getting another win for both The Immigrant and Two Days, One Night (which also won Foreign-Language Film).
