British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) reveal longlists, move to February

Today, the British Independent Film Awards committee announced they are moving their traditional end-of-year festivities to sometime in February 2021 and also revealed the first longlists in three categories: Debut Director, Debut Screenwriter and Breakthrough Producer.

This week, the BIFAs will unveil more longlists of awards, which will then be voted on to create its final nominations, to be revealed on December 9.

Among the leading potential nominees are Calm With Horses, County Lines, His House and Saint Maud, with three each. Here is the first set of New Talent longlists.

Erik Anderson is the founder/owner and Editor-in-Chief of AwardsWatch and has always loved all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards since he was in single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show.
