SFFILM Awards Night has quickly become one of the top stops of an ever-growing awards season and this year is no different.

The 2020 edition of SFFILM Awards Night, the org’s annual fundraising celebration honoring achievement in filmmaking craft, is taking place on December 9 as a live online event — which means everyone’s invited. SFFILM pays tribute to some of the most important film artists of today, while raising funds in support of SFFILM’s work to cultivate the film artists of tomorrow.

Confirmed to attend this year’s event are Aaron Sorkin, recipient of the Kanbar Award for Storytelling; and Chloé Zhao, recipient of the Irving M. Levin Award for Film Direction. The recipients of additional Awards Night honors, including the SFFILM Award for Acting, will be announced soon.

Last year’s honorees included Adam Driver, Lulu Wang, Marielle Heller and Chinonye Chukwu.

The SFFILM Awards Night is SFFILM’s annual fundraiser. The 2020 live virtual event will bring together this year’s most notable film talent with the Bay Area film community to celebrate the power of storytelling.

Grab your tickets today and get in on this opportunity to check out SFFILM’s most exciting event of the year from home, while also supporting their year-round work in film exhibition, youth education, and artist development.
