Cinema Audio Society (CAS) nominees: 'Joker,' 'The Irishman,' 'Frozen II,' 'Chernobyl'

Annual CAS awards ceremony will take place on January 25, 2020

The Cinema Audio Society has revealed the nominations for its 56th annual CAS Awards, which honor the outstanding achievements in sound mixing for 2019 and among the nominees are Ford v Ferrari, Joker, The Lion King, Chernobyl and Barry. A high-profile miss in live action film is the WWI one-take epic 1917.

Ford v Ferrari director James Mangold will receive this year’s CAS Filmmaker honor. Re-recording mixer Tom Fleishman is set for its highest honor, the CAS Career Achievement Award.
