Colin Farrell is in Too Deep in First Trailer for Edward Berger’s ‘Ballad of a Small Player’

Netflix has released the first trailer for newest film from Oscar-nominated director Edward Berger, Ballad of a Small Player, starring Academy Award nominee Colin Farrell and Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton.
Lord Doyle (Farrell) is laying low in Macau – spending his days and nights on the casino floors, drinking heavily and gambling what little money he has left. Struggling to keep up with his fast-rising debts, he is offered a lifeline by the mysterious Dao Ming (Fala Chen), a casino employee with secrets of her own.
However, in hot pursuit is Cynthia Blithe (Swinton) – a private investigator ready to confront Doyle with what he is running from. As Doyle tries to climb to salvation, the confines of reality start to close in.
Hot off his last two Oscar-winning films All Quiet on the Western Front (eight nominations and four wins, including Original Score and International Feature Film) and Conclave (Adapted Screenplay winner), Berger reunites with many of his All Quiet crew, including Academy Award winning cinematographer James Friend and composer Volker Bertelmann, who also scored Conclave.
Before its October release, the film will play at the Toronto International Film Festival and additional fall festivals, including Zurich Film Festival where Farrell will receive their Golden Icon Award.
Ballad of a Small Player will be released in select theaters on October 15 and on Netflix October 29. Here is the teaser trailer.
