First Trailer for Steven Spielberg’s ‘The BFG’
Steven Spielberg’s new film, The BFG, based on Roald Dahl’s beloved classic, has its first official trailer.
The film stars Oscar-winner Mark Rylance (Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies) as The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) who attempts to save a little girl named Sophie from even bigger giants who wish to eat her.
The screenplay was adapted by Melissa Mathison and was her last film before her death in 2015. The film also stars Bill Hader, Rebecca Hall and Jermaine Clement. It will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May before it hits theaters on July 1.
