Florida Film Critics Circle (FFCC): ‘Grand Tour,’ ‘The Mastermind’ and ‘Misericordia’ Highlight Unique Set of Nominations

The Florida Film Critics Circle (FFCC) has revealed its nominations for the best in film for 2025 and are one of the few groups so far to step considerably outside the bounds of the what we’ve seen over the last two weeks. With nominations for Grand Tour and The Mastermind in Best Picture and Bi Gan (Resurrection) and Kelly Reichardt (The Mastermind) in Best Director, they’re not being led down any previous path.
The group also nominated Renée Zellweger in Best Actress for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (although the film did not receive a theatrical release in the U.S.) as well as Crista Alfaiate for Grand Tour. In Supporting Actress, Rita Cortese (Most People Die on Sundays) made the cut, and in Supporting Actor so did Jacques Develay for Misericordia.
Winners will be announced next week. Here is the full list of nominations.
