Florida Film Critics winners: ‘The Power of the Dog,’ Adam Driver wins Best Actor for ‘Annette’

The Florida Film Critics Circle has named Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog the Best Picture of 2021, also awarding the film Best Director, Supporting Actor for Kodi Smit-McPhee, Adapted Screenplay and Cinematography. The film led the nominations with nine.

Leos Carax’s adventurous musical Annette came in with seven nominations and won Best Actor for Adam Driver as well as several runner-up placements, including Best Picture, Director and Visual Effects.

Alana Haim was named Best Actress for her film debut in Licorice Pizza and Cooper Hoffman won the Breakout Award, also his film debut. Ariana DeBose won Supporting Actress for West Side Story.
