The November results of the Forum Oscar polls are out and recent critics award winner Spotlight is far out in front in Best Picture, Best Director (Tom McCarthy), Best Supporting Actor (Michael Keaton) and Best Original Screenplay. Good word on The Revenant has boosted it back up into the top 2 and Leonardo DiCaprio maintains his stranglehold on Best Actor.
One big difference is going to be the results you see for Joy and what next month will look like. Still riding high as November, the film placed #3 in Best Picture, #2 in Best Director (David O. Russell) and #1 in Best Actress (Jennifer Lawrence). With the reviews out for the film sinking fast, expect the prediction results to reflect that next month.
Elsewhere, the trio of Room, Carol and Brooklyn all continue to build or remain strong, as does The Martian. It will be interesting to see if the huge success Mad Max: Fury Road has had with the critics awards translates into top 5 predictions in December.
