Full-length trailer for ‘Bridge of Spies’ feels VERY IMPORTANT
A new, full-length trailer for Dreamworks‘ Bridge of Spies dropped and it’s full of DUN-DUN music cues to let you know that it’s about SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT. The October release has Oscar feels all over it but I can’t help but think it might turn out to be an empty shell. Spielberg’s last film, 2012’s Lincoln was real Oscar gold, nominated for 12 and winning 2. Bridge of Spies is definitely baity subject matter but it might end up playing out a bit more like War Horse. That film grabbed a healthy amount of nominations (six, including Best Picture, but not for Spielberg) but went home empty-handed. This trailer just feels like it’s trying a bit too hard.
Take a look and let me know what you think.
