Georgia Film Critics winners: ‘Licorice Pizza’ takes Best Pic, Best Actress, Supporting Actor

The Georgia Film Critics Association (GAFCA) have chosen Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza as Best Picture, also awarding the film Best Actress to Alana Haim (who also won the Breakthrough award), Best Supporting Actor to Bradley Cooper, Best Ensemble and Best Original Screenplay to Anderson.

Dune was a triple winner, taking Score, Cinematography and Production Design while nomination leader The Power of the Dog earned two wins: Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay (both for Jane Campion).

Nicolas Cage was named Best Actor for Pig and Ariana DeBose took home Supporting Actress for West Side Story.

The Oglethorpe Award for Excellence in Georgia Cinema is given to a feature film or short film that was produced in Georgia. This year’s winner was Spider-Man: No Way Home.
