Golden Globe Foundation Elects New Officers, Additional Board of Directors

The Golden Globe Foundation today announced the election of its officers and Board of Directors for the 2023-24 year. Earl Gibson III will serve as Board Chair, Henry Arnaud as Treasurer, and Tim Kittleson as Secretary of the Foundation.

The Golden Globe Foundation was formed in 2023 following the sale of the Golden Globes to Eldridge Globes, LLC and the dissolving of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). The foundation continues the HFPA’s philanthropic ventures and entertainment-related charity work which includes a diverse range of nonprofit organizations assisting underserved communities, universities, and colleges, film restoration projects in the United States and overseas, and programs providing aid and assistance to journalists across the globe.

“I am delighted to serve as the first Board Chair of our new Foundation and look forward to continuing the long history of philanthropy by our predecessor organization, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, supporting the arts, education, film restoration, journalism, humanitarian projects, and other non-profit organizations dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities within the entertainment industry,” said Earl Gibson III, Board Chair of the Golden Globe Foundation. “I look forward to working with Henry Arnaud, Tim Kittleson, the other members of our Board and the members of the Foundation to continue this important work.”

Earl Gibson III has been a photojournalist for more than 35 years. Gibson is currently serving as a contributor photographer for Shutterstock and has worked for Getty Images and the Associated Press. He has also served as the lead photographer for the NAACP, United Negro College Fund and the Los Angeles Urban League. Gibson is currently an Ambassador for Leica Cameras and serves as a photographer for their corporate events in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue Magazine, The Atlantic, Essence Magazine, Ebony/Jet, and a host of both foreign and domestic publications.

Henry Arnaud has been interviewing the biggest names in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. In France, his outlets have included Vogue, CNTraveler, Glamour, Elle, Tele 7, Le Journal du Dimanche, Tele Cable, Cinema, and others. He also works in other French-speaking countries, including Switzerland and Canada, and is currently a correspondent for Le Matin Dimanche, Switzerland’s biggest French-language newspaper, as well as a contributor to 20 Minutes newspaper, published in both Geneva and Lausanne. Arnaud is a U.S. correspondent for Luxe, a quarterly supplement of Bilan, one of Switzerland’s top business magazines.

Tim Kittleson is a senior consultant with Third Sector Company and a volunteer consultant with Executive Service Corps. His primary focus is board governance, board development, fund development, and executive mentoring for nonprofit organizations. His clients have included the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), Film Independent, and International Documentary Association. He was interim President/CEO of Cancer Support Community Los Angeles, Executive Director of UCLA Film & Television Archive and Executive Vice President of the International Film & Television Alliance (IFTA). He is a member of AMPAS, past member of the British Academy of Film & Television (BAFTA), and the UK Film Council, serving on the Los Angeles boards of the latter two organizations. He recently also served on the board of Outfest, chairing the Governance Committee.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors also includes Silvia Bizio, Mia Farrell, Jeff Harris, Helen Hoehne, Adam Tanswell, and Meher Tatna.

The 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).
