Golden Globes set February date for 2021 awards
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HPFA), who put on the annual Golden Globe Awards, has set the date for the 2021 ceremony: February 28. The nominations will be February 3.
The date for the 78th Golden Globes was pushed back from its normal early January date due to the coronavirus pandemic, which also pushed the Academy Awards deep into April. Both the Oscars and the Golden Globes have amended some of their eligibility rules to allow streaming-only content (provided it was intended for theatrical release) and how the group’s 90+ voters can watch the films.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are still scheduled to return as hosts but it is still unknown what format the awards will take, be it in person or virtual.
