‘In the Heart of the Sea’ gets a new poster and exciting new trailer
A new poster and thrilling new trailer for Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea has emerged and Thor star Chris Hemsworth gets to flex some acting muscles as well as his biceps in this action-packed two and a half minutes. There’s something very classic about much of the look of the film and of Hemsworth. It’s like something Charleston Heston or Burt Lancaster would have taken on.
The film also stars Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Tom Holland (aka the new Spiderman), Ben Whishaw and Brendan Gleeson. The Warner Brothers film opens in December.
[box type=”shadow” align=”aligncenter” class=”” width=””]In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story. “Heart of the Sea” reveals the encounter’s harrowing aftermath, as the ship’s surviving crew is pushed to their limits and forced to do the unthinkable to stay alive. Braving storms, starvation, panic and despair, the men will call into question their deepest beliefs, from the value of their lives to the morality of their trade, as their captain searches for direction on the open sea and his first mate still seeks to bring the great whale down.[/box]

I was moved by Brendan Gleeson’s performance in The heart of the Sea. I definitely think he should be nominated for best supporting actor for this role.
