Flack, the dark and brazen comedy set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on January 22nd, it stars Oscar-winning actress Anna Paquin in a role foreign to most fans of her work. Paquin’s character Robin,an American publicist working for a cutthroat London PR company that represents troubled celebrities, is far from a damsel in distress. She’s bold, confident, and as self-sabotaging as the clients she’s paid to represent. It’s hard to not sense how much fun Paquin is having with this role. Just when you think the show has gone a bit too far, she takes it even further.
AwardsWatch contributor Dewey Singleton was lucky enough to participate in round table discussion about the show with Paquin and some fellow journalists to discuss her role, her ability to go from drama to comedy and how her taste for roles is “very out there.”
