Audiences might know him best from Parks & Recreation or House of Lies, and this past season, Ben Schwartz balanced being a member of not one but two terrific comedy series ensembles, The Afterparty and season two of Space Force. He also returned as the voice of the title character in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

We had the chance to have a lengthy conversation with Schwartz about his humble beginnings in NBC’s short-lived Undercovers, starring opposite Billy Crystal in Standing Up, Falling Down, and a contentious past interview we had that he doesn’t quite remember.

Season one of The Afterparty is currently streaming on AppleTV+. Season two of Space Force is currently streaming on Netflix. Ben Schwartz is Emmy eligible for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for both The Afterparty and Space Force.
