One of the hottest topics this award season is that Da 5 Bloods is loved by film critics across the globe with a large part of that being the award-winning performance from Delroy Lindo.
With a career spanning theatre, television and film, Delroy Lindo has been an indelible force in the world of acting for nearly 50 years. Whether it’s his work with Spike Lee as West Indian Archie in Malcolm X (1992), Woody Carmichael in Crooklyn (1994), Rodney Little in Clockers (1995), or Paul in Da 5 Bloods (2020), his Tony-nominated work in Joe Turner’s Come and Gone or his popular turn as Adrian Boseman in CBS’s The Good Fight, Lindo has finally earned his spot among top tier veteran actors finally getting their due.
We were lucky to have a chance to speak with Lindo about his dance moves and is process for preparing for the role of a lifetime that has earned him New York Film Critics and National Society of Film Critics Best Actor wins.
