Actress Jennifer Morrison has plenty of TV experience, appearing as a series regular on popular shows like House and Once Upon a Time and in a recurring part on How I Met Your Mother. Most recently, she’s become an important player on one of the defining shows of the generation: This Is Us. Introduced in the season four premiere, Morrison’s veteran Cassidy becomes a critical and dependable part of the life of one Pearson sibling, Kevin (Justin Hartley).
We had the chance to speak with Morrison to reflect back on her own admiration for the show before she got cast, what she knew about the role, and how she feels about the way that her character arc ended. We also discussed the military research she did and what’s ahead for her now, including a number of behind-the-camera gigs as a director.
All six seasons of This Is Us are streaming on Hulu and Peacock. Jennifer Morrison is Emmy eligible for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
