In Pixar Animation Studios’ “22 vs. Earth,” new soul 22 (voice of Tina Fey) enlists a gang of five other new souls in her rebellious refusal to go to Earth. But her cohorts’ activities lead to unexpected results. Set before the events of Disney and Pixar’s “Soul,” “22 vs. Earth” is directed by Kevin Nolting and produced by Lourdes Alba. © 2021 Disney/Pixar. All Rights Reserved.

A new short from Pixar animation, ’22 vs. Earth’ is set to debut on Disney+ on April 30th. The short is directed by Pixar veteran Kevin Nolting, who answers the question what does 22 have against the planet Earth?

Tina Fey returns to voice the sarcastic yet loveable “22.” This provides a quick glimpse for fans of the Oscar-winning ‘Soul’ into why “22” is who she is. Is it because she is a bad person or has she been hurt?

We were lucky enough to speak with Nolting about this glimpse into the past.
