It’s the end of the line for the Kominsky crew.
The Kominsky Method is bidding adieu after its third season, which premieres on May 28th. Fresh off an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series last year, the Michael Douglas-led show is losing stalwart Alan Arkin, but bumping up guest stars Kathleen Turner and Paul Reiser to regulars, in a season that’s as much about fresh starts as it is saying goodbye.
For Sarah Baker, who plays Mindy Kominsky, the entire experience was as impactful as it was out-of-body. Shot in the thick of the pandemic under strict COVID protocols, filming was far from ideal or normal, but she still managed to soak up the wisdom of her co-stars…even if it had to happen in the make-up trailer.
Baker talked to Daniel Trainor about filming the final season, working with her legendary castmates, the best things she watched during the past year and what one last awards season run would mean to her.
The final season of The Kominsky Method is available to stream on Netflix on May 28th.
