When you are a part of the biggest grossing film of all time it of course makes all the sense in the world to follow that up with a film about the opioid crisis, right? For Tom Holland and The Russo Brothers it was exactly the right next step.
Cherry represents quite a departure from what we are use to seeing from these men. While to some, it might seem like a risk but it’s far from that when you have a terrific narrative and fantastic talent to deliver that tale. Up and coming star Ciara Bravo joins Holland and The Russos in forming a dynamic team as they tackle some serious subject matter (drug addiction and PTSD).
We were lucky enough to sit down with Ciara, Tom, and The Russo’s to discuss Cherry, which debuts in select theaters on February 26 before premiering on Apple TV+ on March 12.
