The 2019 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, which recognizes original scores and songs in film, television, video games and commercials, were held this week and the original scores of Joker, Ford v Ferrari, Avengers: Endgame, Us and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World were the big winners in the feature film categories.

The Biggest Little Farm took home both documentary prizes, original score and original song. Other original song winners came from Harriet (“Stand Up”), Abominable (“Beautiful Life”) and Sherman’s Showcase (“Time Loop”). Kris Bowers’ score for the When They See Us won for TV Series/Limited Series.

The HMMA also recognizes music supervision and that win went to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which also just picked up a Grammy nomination this week.

Last year saw winners like “Shallow” from A Star Is Born and the score to Black Panther go on to win their Oscar equivalent.
