The Kansas City Film Critics Circle (KCFCC) has chosen Get Out as the Best Picture of 2017. The film also won the group’s Original Screenplay award and their genre prize for Best Sci-Fi/Horror/Fantasy film.
The Shape of Water won two awards, Best Director for Guillermo del Toro and Best Actress for Sally Hawkins and Call Me By Your Name also picked up two – Best Actor for Timothée Chalamet and Adapted Screenplay (in a tie with Logan). Frontrunners Willem Dafoe (The Florida Project) and Laurie Metcalf (Lady Bird) won the supporting categories.
