Kansas City Film Critics Circle Winners: Manchester by Sea is Best Film, Director, Actor

Manchester by the Sea was the big winner with Kansas City Critics

Manchester by the Sea won Best Film from the Kansas City Film Critics Circle, the 2nd oldest critics group in the United States. It’s Manchester‘s first since its win at National Board of Review, which is, incidentally, the oldest awards-giving organization. They also matched up in Supporting Actor with Jeff Bridges in Hell or High Water. Natalie Portman picked up another Best Actress win for Jackie and Viola Davis (Fences) and Naomie Harris (Moonlight) tied for Best Supporting Actress.

Best Actor: Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea)

Best Actress: Natalie Portman (Jackie)

Best Adapted Screenplay: Arrival

The Vince Koehler Award for Best SciFi, Fantasy & Horror Film: Arrival
