Killer new ‘Creed II’ trailer sets up a Creed/Drago battle royale

Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson return to the ring in sequel that brings back an old rival

“If we don’t do what we love, then we wouldn’t exist.”

In this sequel to the 2015 hit, Creed II finds Adonis Creed facing his toughest rival yet – his past. His next opponent is none other than Victor Drago, son of Ivan Drago, who killed Adonis’s father Apollo.

Fighting for his new family, avenging his father, Adonis and Rocky Balboa must decide what’s worth fighting for and what’s worth dying for and together, confront their shared legacy.

Creed II also stars Phylicia Rashad, Florian Munteanu and the return of Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago.

Taking over the sequel reigns from Ryan Coogler (who retains a writing and executive producer credit) is Steven Caple Jr. from a script by Sylvester Stallone and Juel Taylor.

The film is produced by Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler, William Chartoff, David Winkler, Kevin King-Templeton, and Sylvester Stallone and is a co-production from MGM and Warner Bros.

MGM will release Creed II on November 21st.
