Las Vegas Critics Go Ga-Ga for La La Land

La La Land wins seven awards from Las Vegas Film Critics

La La Land danced its way into the hearts of Las Vegas Film Critics, taking home seven awards including; Best Picture, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Score, Song, Art Direction and Best Director for Damien Chazelle.

Manchester by the Sea garnished three awards with Casey Affleck winning as Best Actor and Lucas Hedges with the Youth in Film Award. Natalie Portman as Best Actress for her portrayal of Jackie Kennedy in Jackie and Viola Davis for her supporting role in Fences.

The thriller Nocturnal Animals was recognized with wins for Michael Shannon in Best Supporting Actor and Tom Ford for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Moonlight nabbed Breakout Filmmaker for Barry Jenkins and Best Film Editing. Other highlights were The Witch winning Best Costume and Best Horror/Sci-Fi, Hidden Figures with Best Ensemble and rounding out the list was Kubo and the Two Strings as Best Animated Feature.

The William Holden Lifetime Achievement award was bestowed upon actor Kirk Douglas who celebrated his 100th birthday this month.
