Manchester by the Sea Sweeps Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards

Manchester by the Sea dominated the winners of the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards, winning five of the six categories it was nominated in, including Best Picture and Best Director (Kenneth Lonergan).

Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) stopped Manchester from a clean sweep by picking up another Best Supporting Actor win and Isabelle Hupper (Elle) inched further ahead of Natalie Portman (Jackie) in total critics’ awards this season.
