‘Mank’ leads Discussing Film Critics nominations with 13

The Discussing Film Critics Awards, in their second year, announced their nominations on Sunday and David Fincher’s Mank led the field with 13 nods, including Best Motion Picture, Director for Fincher, Film Actor for Gary Oldman, Supporting Actress for Amanda Seyfried and Original Screenplay for the late Jack Fincher.

Da 5 Bloods was next with 11, also in Picture and Director (for Spike Lee), Film Actor for Delroy Lindo and Supporting Actor for the late Chadwick Boseman (who also picked up a lead nom for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. All films are from Netflix, the overwhelming nomination getter.

Rounding out Best Motion Picture were I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Minari, Nomadland, One Night in Miami, Promising Young Woman, Sound of Metal and Tenet. Chloé Zhao (Nomadland), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari) and Regina King (One Night in Miami) round out the Best Director nominees
