Films Made Available Exclusively to Letterboxd Members In The US Starting this Monday For a Limited Time

NEON is partnering with Letterboxd, the fast growing global social network for film discussion and discovery, across its slate of documentary and international films which have been shortlisted for the 93rd Academy Awards in an exclusive deal starting this Monday, March 8.  For a limited time (March 8th to March 14th), all six of NEON’s shortlisted titles will be made available to Letterboxd users for the discounted bundle price of $19.99 at watch.neonrated.com.  This marks the first time Letterboxd will be offering new films that have not streamed on any other platforms directly to its members.

The six films will include: Gunda directed by Victor Kossakovsky and executive produced by Joaquin Phoenix; Gianfranco Rosi’s Notturno; The Painter and the Thief directed by Benjamin Ree; Andrei Konchalovsky’s Dear Comrades!, Russia’s Academy Award Submission; Night of the Kings, Philippe Lacôte’s Ivory Coast Oscar Submission; and Jasmila Žbanić’s Quo Vadis, Aida?, the Bosnia and Herzegovina submission.

“Letterboxd loves connecting our audience of film fans with the works of great filmmakers,” commented Letterboxd’s David Larkin. “Partnering with NEON to offer this selection of six sensational films is an exciting opportunity for our community to be part of the awards-season conversation.”

Andrew Brown negotiated the deal for NEON along with David Larkin for Letterboxd.

Most recently NEON acquired Céline Sciamma’s Petite Maman, reuniting with acclaimed filmmaker following their successful collaboration on the revered Portrait of a Lady on Fire.  NEON also continues to foray into development and production on the heels of their Best Picture win for Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite, with several projects including Pablo Larraín’s Spencer starring Kristen Stewart; Ben Wheatley’s Horror Film In The Earth which recently made its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival; and The Painter and the Thief narrative remake.
