Jason Reitman’s Labor Day sort of quietly came and went at the Toronto International Film Festival, getting good ink but seemingly getting lost in the 12 Years A Slave / Gravity shuffle. Kate Winslet always looked like the best bet at a nomination for the film, and Reitman has a reasonable track record with his actresses (guiding three of them to nominations), but people have started to write her off.
