Here we go again.
Just days after the most recent controversy by the Academy and 91st Oscars producers Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss, last year’s acting winners – Sam Rockwell, Frances McDormand (both of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Allison Janney (I, Tonya) and Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) will be back to present after all.
Reps for Rockwell and Janney had reached out to the Academy but were told they were not going to be a part of the ceremony, as is Oscars tradition. Rumors quickly circulated that Gigliotti and Weiss were looking for higher wattage star talent to take their place.

Last Sunday, Janney took to Instagram to post her dismay about not being invited to present. “It’s looking like they are not going to honor the tradition this year,” she wrote. “It breaks my heart.”
As of now it appears that Rockwell and McDormand will present together, as will Janney and Oldman. It is not known at this time what they will present.
The 91st Academy Awards will air live on ABC on February 24th beginning at 5pm PST / 8pm EST.
