‘Ozark,’ ‘Ted Lasso,’ ‘WandaVision’ topline Directors Guild TV nominations (DGA)

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) announced its nominations for television and documentaries on Monday and the Golden-Globe and Critics Choice-winning comedy Ted Lasso from Apple TV+ toplined the comedy category with two nominations.

HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm also earned two DGA nominations in comedy while the drama series nominees were: Ozark, The Mandalorian, Better Call Saul, Homeland and Bridgerton.

The most buzzed about show of the new year, WandaVision on Disney+, was nominated in the limited series section alongside Hamilton, The Undoing, Little Fires Everywhere and The Queen’s Gambit.

The Documentary Feature nominees are: Boys State, My Octopus Teacher, The Painter and the Thief, The Truffle Hunters and Welcome to Chechnya. All five films are on the Oscar shortlist; My Octopus Teacher and The Truffle Hunters also have PGA nominations.

Nominations for theatrical feature film will be announced tomorrow, March 9. Here is the full list of TV nominations.
