Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC) Winners: 'Parasite,' Song Kang-ho, Thomasin McKenzie

After leading the way with nominations, Parasite has been chosen by the Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC) as the Best Picture of 2019. The group also awarded the film Best Foreign Language Film, Best Director for Bong Joon Ho and Best Supporting Actor for Song Kang Ho.

Adam Driver (Marriage Story), Lupita Nyong’o (Us) and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit) filled out the acting winners.

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN EDITING: THELMA SCHOONMAKER
Thelma Colbert Schoonmaker is an Algerian-born American film editor who has worked with director Martin Scorsese for over fifty years. She started working with Scorsese on his debut feature film Who’s That Knocking at My Door, and edited all of Scorsese’s films since Raging Bull.

Erik Anderson is the founder/owner and Editor-in-Chief of AwardsWatch and has always loved all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards since he was in single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show.
