The Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC) has named The Power of the Dog the Best Picture of 2021, also awarding the film Best Director for Jane Campion, Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch, Best Supporting Actress for Kirsten Dunst and Best Score for Jonny Greenwood.
Kristen Stewart won Best Actress for Spencer and West Side Story breakout Mike Faist won his first Best Supporting Actor award this season. In the group’s specialized categories the winners included Licorice Pizza (Best Comedy Film), Dune (Best Science Fiction Film) and Titane (Best Horror Film).
A Special Recognition award was given to Sonny Chiba for Lifetime Achievement In Action Cinema.

Erik Anderson is the founder/owner and Editor-in-Chief of AwardsWatch and has always loved all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards since he was in single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show. This led him down the path to obsessing about awards.
