Will Doris Day, Albert Finney, Gena Rowlands or Donald Sutherland be receiving Honorary Oscars this year?

Next month, the Board of Governors will be announcing the recipients of the Honorary Oscars to be handed out next year and it seems like many of the same names keep getting passed over year to year without winning. I’ve compiled a list of the most likely as well as some left-field choices and it’s time for you to vote.  Will Doris Day finally get one? What about five-time nominee Albert Finney or ZERO-time nominee Donald Sutherland? Billy Crystal has hosted the Oscars nine times but has never been nominated himself, this could be his reward. Norman Jewison (Moonstruck) has been Oscar-nominated seven times without winning but received the Irving G. Thalberg Award in 1999.

Last year’s winners were actress Maureen O’Hara, director Hayao Miyazaki (a three-time Oscar nominee and winner once for Animated Feature – Spirited Away), actor/writer Jean-Claude Carrière The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award went to actor/singer Harry Belafonte.

Who do you think deserves one? If you don’t see a name on the list, add it to the comments section.
