Poster for Mike Leigh’s ‘Peterloo’ plus first clip
In this first clip of Peterloo, Mike Leigh portrays one of the bloodiest episodes in British history, the infamous Peterloo Massacre of 1819, where government-backed cavalry charged into a peaceful crowd of over 60,000 that gathered in Manchester, England to demand democratic reform.
The film is written and directed by Mike Leigh and stars Rory Kinnear, Maxine Peake, Neil Bell, Philip Jackson, Vincent Franklin, Karl Johnson, Tim McInnerny
Amazon Studios will release Peterloo in theaters November 9, 2018.
