San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle (SFBAFCC) Awards: ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘The Zone of Interest’ are Big Winners

The San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle (SFBAFCC) has revealed its winners for the best in film for 2023 naming Oppenheimer Best Picture. The film also won Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr. and Cinematography.

Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest won Director, Editing and International Feature Film while American Fiction was a double winner with Best Actor for Jeffrey Wright and Adapted Screenplay.

Best Supporting Actor: Robert Downey Jr, “Oppenheimer”

Best Supporting Actress: Da’Vine Joy Randolph, “The Holdovers”

Best Animated Feature: “The Boy and the Heron”

Best International Feature Film: “The Zone of Interest”

Best Documentary Feature: “20 Days in Mariupol”

Best Cinematography: Hoyte van Hoytema, “Oppenheimer”

Best Production Design: Sarah Greenwood, “Barbie”

Best Film Editing: Paul Watts, “The Zone of Interest”

Best Original Score: Robbie Robertson, “Killers of the Flower Moon”

Special Citation for Independent Cinema (Tie): “Earth Mama” and “Fremont”
