Screen Actors Guild Television Nominations

The Screen Actors Guild television nominations were revealed this morning and saw very little new shows or performers break though. The usual suspects in comedy of Modern Family, 30 Rock and The Big Bang Theory dominated with three nods apiece while Girls was snubbed. Over in drama Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones led with three nominations apiece (including Stunt Ensemble for Boardwalk and GoT) while The Good Wife and Mad Men were completely shut out. Netflix’s House of Cards got a nod for star Kevin Spacy but their decision to also submit Orange is the New Black in drama backfired as the critically acclaimed show came away empty-handed. In TV Movie/Miniseries, Phil Spector, Top of the Lake and Behind the Candelabra came away with two nods each.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 5pm EST/8pm PST and simulcast on TNT and TBS.
