Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) Awards: Hildur Guðnadóttir a double winner for ‘Joker,’ ‘Chernobyl’

The Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL) held their annual awards last night at the Skirball Cultural Center and Hildur Guðnadóttir was the big winner, taking the prizes for Original Score for a Studio Film (Joker) and Original Score for a Television or Streaming Production (Chernobyl). Guðnadóttir won the Golden Globe for her Joker score last Sunday and the Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) last month.

Joshuah Brian Campbell and Cynthia Erivo were the winners for the Original Song “Stand Up” from Harriet and a Special Collaboration Award was given to Sam Mendes and Thomas Newman for their career work together.
