The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics today announced its 14th Dorian Film Awards nominations. The mind-bending comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once from the directing duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, starring Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu leads with 9 nominations.
Todd Field’s TÁR, with Cate Blanchett, follows with 7, including LGBTQ Film of the Year, Director of the Year, Film Performance of the Year (Blanchett) and Supporting Film Performance of the Year (Nina Hoss). Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin notched 5 nominations, as did the heartbreaking father-daughter drama Aftersun—including two for writer-director Charlotte Wells and for its stars, Paul Mescal (Film Performance of the Year) and Frankie Corio (Rising Star).
In categories unique to the organization, the Campiest Flick of the Year nominees are Babylon, Bodies Bodies Bodies, Elvis, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Pearl and RRR. The Wilde Artist Award (goes to a truly groundbreaking force in film, theater and/or television) nominees are Cate Blanchett, Billy Eichner, Janelle Monáe, Keke Palmer and Michelle Yeoh.
The nominees for LGBTQ Film of the Year are Benediction, Bros, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Inspection and TÁR.
