The St. Louis Film Critics Association has announced their winners for the Best in Film for 2016 and La La Land has come out on top. The modern-day musical won Best Film, Director, Cinematography, Score, Song and Best Scene.
The group also found its way in the middle of a several runners-up ties and in Production Design a three-way tie for the runners-up and a solo winner. Sorry Hail, Caesar, nothing for you today. Repeat acting wins for Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea) Isabelle Huppert (Elle), Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) and Viola Davis (Fences) continued their respective dominance in this third wave of critics’ picks.
