Taika Waititi reads ‘James and the Giant Peach’ with Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett, Kumail Nanjiani and more for Partners in Health COVID-19 relief

Academy Award winner Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit) has partnered with some Oscar and Emmy-winning friends to read the Roald Dahl classic James and the Giant Peach to raise money for Partners in Health COVID 19 relief. The Roald Dahl Story Company and their partners will be matching every single donation made.

Meryl Streep, Eddie Redmayne, Chris and Liam Hemsworth, Sarah Paulson, Kumail Nanjiani, Nick Kroll, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett, Ruth Wilson and more join Taika in the readings, which releases new episodes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Partners In Health works on the front lines with some of the most vulnerable communities in the world, building health systems, protecting the vulnerable, and saving lives. Their mission is to help stop COVID-19, and ensure everyone, everywhere has access to the health care that is their human right.

New episodes are released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6pm BST / 1pm EST / 10 PST. Be sure to never miss an episode by subscribing to the Roald Dahl YouTube channel.

Here are the first three episodes, which will be updated when new ones are released.

In Episode 1, Taika is joined by Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth and Nick Kroll as they start this ever so exciting story and read Chapters 1 – 4 of James and the Giant Peach. In Episode 2, Taika is joined by Benedict Cumberbatch and Meryl Streep, who take on the iconic roles of Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge, as they read Chapters 5 – 8 of James and the Giant Peach.
