INOCA, the International Online Cinema Awards, have revealed their nominations for the best in 2018 film with the raucous period piece The Favourite from Yorgos Lanthimos leading the way with 12 mentions, including Best Picture, Best Director and two Best Actress slots (Olivia Colman and Emma Stone).

Next up was Barry Jenkins’s intimate romance If Beale Street Could Talk, which earned 9 nominations. Alfonso Cuarón’s personal saga Roma came with 8. Both films received Best Picture and Best Director mentions.

Rounding out the Best Picture nominees, two other foreign language films joined RomaBurning from Lee Chang-dong and Shoplifters from Hirokazu Kore-eda. Burning received six nominations overall and Shoplifters earned five.

A Star Is Born managed five nominations with three of them coming from Original Song. Lady Gaga didn’t make the Best Actress cut but Bradley Cooper did find a spot in Best Actor.

Annihilation and Paddington 2 found love, albeit mostly in the technical categories, each receiving four nominations.

The INOCA’s, in their 17th year, are the AwardsWatch forum community awards and are voted on by forum members.

Winners will be announced February 23rd. Here is the full list of nominations.
