It’s been 8 years since Benh Zeitlin shocked everyone with his Best Director Academy Award nomination for Beasts of the Southern Wild (as well as giving the world the youngest Best Actress nominee of all time, Quvenzhané Wallis) and the first trailer to his long-awaited follow-up, Wendy, is here.
Wendy is inspired by the classic story of Peter Pan Lost where on a mysterious island where aging and time have come unglued, Wendy must fight to save her family, her freedom, and the joyous spirit of youth from the deadly peril of growing up.
Fox Searchlight will release Wendy in theaters on February 28, 2020. Here is the first trailer.
