The FX limited series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story was chosen as the Program of the Year by the Television Critics Association tonight where it also picked up wins in the Miniseries category and for Sarah Paulson in Individual Achievement in Drama.
FX also scored the Outstanding Achievement in Drama for The Americans, that show’s second consecutive win. USA’s freshman series Mr. Robot grabbed Outstanding New Program.
In Comedy, black-ish won the series category and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Rachel Bloom won the Individual award. won the News and Information award and The Mary Tyler Moore Show won the Heritage Award.
The results were determined from votes cast by the TCA’s membership, comprised of more than 220 professional TV critics and journalists from the United States and Canada.
