The 2020 American Music Awards nominations were announced this morning and both The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch topped the list with eight mentions including Artist of the Year. Megan Thee Stallion was next with five.

Dua Lipa helped announce the nominees on Good Morning America Monday and is a nominee herself in the Female Artist – Pop/Rock category, battling Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. She’s also the sole female in the Favorite Song – Pop/Rock category for “Don’t Stop Now” where she’ll compete against Lewis Capaldi, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch and The Weeknd.

Speaking of Swift, if she wins Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock, she’ll become the first five-time winner in the show’s history. She is currently tied with Olivia Newton-John and Whitney Houston with four wins each. This is also potentially Swift’s third consecutive win in the category. She’d be the first woman to win three straight awards in that category since Houston, who won from 1987-89.

Justin Bieber is looking for his fourth win as Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, which would set a record in this category. Bieber is currently tied for the lead with Barry Manilow, Michael Bolton, Eric Clapton and Michael Jackson, with three awards each.

The 2020 American Music Awards will air Sunday, November 22 at 8pm ET on ABC.
