Trailer: 2021 Sundance Film Festival launches new online home

Sundance Institute today debuted the teaser trailer for their 2021 Festival — which looks back at some iconic discoveries from decades of the Festival, including snippets from films that Sundance has premiered over the years and testimony from the likes of Ava DuVernay, Aubrey Plaza, and Eva Longoria about how every year, the filmmaking community converges with film lover community to explore the boldest new independent work.
The 2021 version of the festival, which will run January 28-February 3, moves online as the majority of 2020 film festivals did due the coronavirus pandemic that started just after the 2020 fest.
Also launching today is the brand-new, dedicated online home, festival.sundance.org, alongside a countdown clock, a brief note from new Festival Director Tabitha Jackson and a link to the all-new 2021 Festival Merch Store. You can sign up for email updates as they roll out announcements and more in the coming weeks.
