35 years after Harrison Ford took his family to the Central American jungle to create a brave new world, Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) now does in 2021 as The Mosquito Coast becomes a series for Apple TV+.

Adapted from the best selling novel, The Mosquito Coast is a gripping adventure and layered character drama following the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox (Theroux, who also exec produces), who uproots his wife Margot (Melissa George, Alias), son Charlie (Gabriel Bateman, Child’s Play) and daughter Dina (Logan Polish, The Astronaut Farmer) for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government.

The Mosquito Coast is written by Neil Cross (Luther) and developed by Cross and Tom Bissell (The Disaster Artist) and features Rupert Wyatt, Jeremy Podeswa, Natalia Beristain, Tinge Krishnan and Claire Kilner as episode directors.

The Mosquito Coast begins streaming April 30 exclusively on Apple TV+.
