Trailer: Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell are ‘The Best of Enemies’

After the success of timely and true story race dramas with a flair for comedy like BlacKkKlansman the upcoming Green Book, STX Films has released the first trailer and poster for The Best of Enemies, starring Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson and Academy Award winner Sam Rockwell.
Based on a true story and inspired by the book by Oshay Gray Davidson, The Best of Enemies centers on the unlikely relationship between Ann Atwater (Henson), an outspoken civil rights activist, and C.P. Ellis (Rockwell), a local Ku Klux Klan leader who reluctantly co-chaired a community summit, battling over the desegregation of schools in Durham, North Carolina during the racially-charged summer of 1971. The incredible events that unfolded would change Durham and the lives of Atwater and Ellis forever.
The Best of Enemies is written and directed by Robin Bissell. It is produced by Danny Strong, Fred Bernstein, Matt Berenson, Robin Bissell, Dominique Telson, Tobey Maguire and Matthew Ploufe.
STX Films will release The Best of Enemies on April 9, 2019.
