Adapted from the Juan José Campanella’s 2009 Foreign Language Film Oscar winner from Argentina, here is the trailer for The Secret in Their Eyes, starring Best Actor Oscar nominee and BAFTA winner Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Oscar winners Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman.

[box type=”shadow” align=”aligncenter” class=”” width=””]A tight-knit team of rising FBI investigators – Ray and Jess, (Ejiofor and Roberts) along with their District Attorney supervisor Claire (Kidman) – is suddenly torn apart when they discover that Jess’s teenage daughter has been brutally and inexplicably murdered. Now, thirteen years later, after obsessively searching every day for the elusive killer, Ray finally uncovers a new lead that he’s certain can permanently resolve the case, nail the vicious murderer, and bring long-desired closure to his team. No one is prepared, however, for the shocking, unspeakable secret that will reveal the enduring, destructive effects of personal vengeance on the human soul. Originally written for a male actor, the character of Jess was changed to female for the adaptation.[/box]

The Secret in Their Eyes was adapted and directed by Billy Ray (Shattered Glass) and opens October 23rd. Check out the trailer and pics below.
